Roland VersaUV LEC Series Printer/Cutter, Do You Know It?

The Roland LEC series streamlines the production process by automatically contour cutting printed graphics, saving valuable time and effort. The LEC can contour cut through the top layer of lined media or create a perforated cut on non-lined media such as card stock. By switching out the cutting tool, the LEC can also crease your media for easy, accurate folding.

With the 30" and 54" VersaUV LEC printer/cutters, you can easily create vibrant prototypes and short runs on a variety of actual press substrates, in one seamless workflow. Flexible bag media. Folding cartons. Pressure-sensitive labels. Clear film. CMYK. White, Varnish, Emboss, Crease and Contour Cut. All with a single device.

From roll stock to card stock, the VersaUV delivers detailed image quality at resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Print flawless graphics and text with vibrant Roland Eco-UV inks including CMYK, White and Clear Coat for remarkable special effects ranging from gloss or matte finishes to custom textures and simulated embossing. Plus, the VersaUV LEC automatically scores and contour cuts virtually any size and shape for unmatched versatility.

Low heat UV LED lamps allow the VersaUV to handle a vast array of press substrates, including foils, BOPP, PE, PET film, clear and metallic stock. In addition, you can print directly onto synthetic and natural leathers, window coverings, fabrics and other specialty materials. The VersaUV includes a straight media path for printing on semi-rigid sheets such as card stocks and polycarbonates up to 1mm thick.

Whether it's a label, box, bag or sleeve, brand packaging customers require a proof of concept before going to press with a packaging job. But printing even a single proof on the press can be costly in both time and money. Traditional proofing devices are limited in materials and special effects, and require time-consuming hand processes for scoring and cutting. The LEC series eliminates these issues and allows you to create dynamic prototypes and custom short runs from start to finish, on virtually any substrate.
