1. Choose the right print head
The most common print heads are : Epson print head, Ricoh print head and Seiko print head. All of them has their own advantages and disadvantages.
Epson print head mainly print with water-based ink, and the ink drop is only 3.5pl. But it has the highest printing fineness, and the printed color is vivid.
Ricoh is the industrial print head, and the biggest disadvantage is expensive., and the printing fineness is not good enough. But it has a high printing speed and long service life. The GEN5 print head can change the ink drop, and the ink drop range from 7 to 35pl.
Seiko print head is also industrial print head, it’s ink drop reach to 35pl to avoid the blocking. It is suitable for large format advertising printing.
So it is obviously that Epson print head is more suitable for t-shirt printing.
2. Choose the right size.
For DTG printer, it has different sizes. You should know the size of your products, and then choose the suitable printer.
3. Choose a reliable supplier
Because the market of DTG printer is big, so there are many new manufacturers. But producing a good DTG printer need at least 3 to 5 years from designing to selling. So choose a manufacturer who has their own technology is very important.
